5960 RACE OF CHAMPIONS
Recently UAW 5960 was well
represented at the Crim Festival of Races in
Flint
,
MI
. 5960's race team, dubbed, The
G6ers, joined a cast of thousands that participated in one of the largest events
held in
Michigan
each year, the Crim Race. The local was represented in this 10-mile event by:
Michael Stewart, 30-02, [1:16:41] Brian Sykes, 19-39 [2:10:00] Richard Skelton,
25-05 [1:28:44] Bert Higley, 19-33 [1:19:00] and John Ritchie, 70-29 [1:43:23]
Bob Asplund, 19-43 (5-mile) [35:52]
The Crim Race draws world class runners from around the globe that come
to participate in Michigan's premier running event.
The race and surrounding activities are a week long with many charity
events held that assist the community and help
Flint
Michigan
to build its world class status.
